So you could pay the money to get a great shot of Melbourne from the top of the Rialto or the Eureka Tower but one of my favourite elevated views of Melbourne is from atop the Shrine of Remembrance.
The Shrine looms over St Kilda Road and from its rooftop there is a clear view down the centre of the CBD including the iconic Art Centre spire and the dome of Flinders Street Station.
Entry to the Shrine is free but a gold coin donation to assist with its upkeep is greatly appreciated.
WOW! That IS a stunning view! I am not even sure if I have been up there to get it (other than at a Dawn Service, and that’s too crazy then). Must get up there!
